What you need is a fun filled and FREE weekend full of activities to make your kids smile and most importantly not burn a hole in your pocket. So how about it then? If you are close by or even a local in the Liverpool area, then this blog is perfect for you.

We have hand selected, just for you, 10 of the best and FREE days out in and around Liverpool this up and coming month.
You might be thinking ‘I can’t even think of one free thing to do that isn’t boring or time wasting’ well us Romans have you covered!
An ideal day out for the family with plenty of things to see, do and get your hands-on. The museum has extensive collections covering world cultures, sciences, animals, bugs and of course dinosaurs.
The Albert Dock is iconic and a rite of passage for youngsters living in Merseyside. Apart from the views from the docks there are many small shops to browse in and varied seating areas whilst the kids can play on the grass – preferably for those British sunny days.
MUSEUM OF LIVERPOOL
This museum offers either Winnie the spider or Liver bird trial to follow around the museum or you can head to Little Liverpool - a hands-on gallery specially for visitors under the age of six, which you can access by free timed ticket from the welcome desk on the day of your visit.
RICE LANE CITY FARM
From the rare breed animals along with goats, pony, ducks, geese, rabbit and chicks to the recently refurbished chapel and tranquil cemetery this farm has it all! Including lots of exciting Historical and iconic figures.
If you or your kids are a lover of books you are in for a treat. The library allows a maximum of 12 books to be taken out at one time, that’s a lot of great reading for those rainy days! The library consists of a huge circular space in the former lecture hall under the Picton Library, with ramps for buggys and big comfy seats to get cosy with your little ones and a good book.
One of the best beaches around, including 100 cast iron statues this beach is one for the list. The site is perfect for activities including birdwatching, flying kites, walking and even a picnic with the family plus there is also a children's play area.
Enjoy a scenic stroll with the little ones through this well-known park. You can even see lots of wildlife, take part in the orienteering walk or visit the miniature railway track.
PUBLIC ART SEARCH
There are hundreds of public arts dotted around Liverpool. Can you and your little ones find the Super Lambanana’s? Or maybe John Lennon on Mathew Street?
Homed to a magnificent 235-acre park this is the perfect place for a walk, a picnic with the family or even a run. It’s also home to the beautiful Palm House which has lots of events going on, a cafe, a children's playground.
OLD DOCK EXPLORE
The world's first commercial enclosed wet dock can be seen on a free tour from the Merseyside Maritime Museum. Uncovered in 2001 when preparations were being made for Liverpool ONE and was preserved as an important reminder of Liverpool's historic status.
Plenty to choose from there and what's more it wont cost you a penny! Not bad, ehy?
