HOW DO YOU CELEBRATE FATHER'S DAY?
Father’s Day is a modern honouring of our Fathers and a day to celebrate fatherhood, parental bonds and the influence they have upon society. Or in our society kids burning the toast, glitter covered cards and Mum pretending the presents aren’t from her.
Have you ever wondered how Father’s Day started? well the first Father’s Day was celebrated on June 19,1910 in the state of Washington.
To put it in simple terms, in the year 1966, President Lyndon B. Johnson issued the first presidential proclamation honouring fathers, designating the third Sunday in June as Father's Day. Six years later, the day was made a permanent national holiday when President Richard Nixon signed it into law in 1972.
All history aside we here at The Romans believe in honouring Fatherhood and the vital recognition every father deserves.
You may not be one for cards and chocolates, well how about an experience of a lifetime with the little ones at our purpose built Roman themed activity park?
