Top 5 Beer Gardens in Liverpool
It’s Spring and apart from that big washout last weekend we are starting to see some nice sunny weather. What is better known in Liverpool as “Beer Garden Weather”. But what beer gardens are worth a visit? What’s important to you when choosing a beer garden? Is it the view? If so, I give The Merton which overlooks the Sefton magistrates a miss.
For this blog we have picked 5 gardens that all offer something a little different to one another. Let’s get right to it (in no particular order).
KAZMIER GARDEN - 32 Seel St, Liverpool L1 4BE

I’ve been here a few times now and it’s really cool. Not far from concert square. So, if you want to get away from all the shisha pipes this & noise this might just be the place for you. A nice chilled atmosphere, huge variety of craft ales (all the rage now isn’t it) and tasty street food.
FREE STATE KITCHEN - 1 Maryland St, Liverpool L1 9DE

Another little hidden gem. Tucked away on Maryland street near Hope Street. It also has a really good variety of craft ales but what stands out here is the food. If you are like me and like American classic foods you’re in for a treat. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options are also available.
GOODNESS GRACIOUS ROOF GARDEN - West Africa House, 25 Water St, Liverpool L2 0RG

On the rooftop of OH ME OH MY. As views go you will be hard pressed to find one as good as this. It overlooks two of the most iconic places in the city the famous Royal Liver Building & The Three Graces. It has great drinks, BBQ & music. Got to be worth a visit.
BIRDIES BAR & BBQ - Stanhope Street, Cains Brewery Liverpool L8 5XJ

Located in Cain Brewery Village were all the trendy people go. The tropical theme looks really cool and the BBQ is something else. Really good selection of smoked BBQ food which is a personal favourite of mine. Live music, great atmosphere and loads of nice drinks. What more could you ask for?
JUNO’S GARDEN – The Romans, Vesty Business Park, Liverpool, L30 1NY
Brand new for 2019. Outside the city centre and based at The Romans activity park. Juno’s opened in April. Not your typical beer garden Juno’s has some really funny challenges like goat milking, giant beer pong and the hanging bar challenge. It has a little horsebox bar that serves Gin & Beer and a little outdoor BBQ. If you are looking for something different then get yourself down to Junos!
So, there you have it. Places with fun games, places with great food, places with great views and places vegan options. Ticked all the boxes. Which one are you going to try first? Have fun!
